Hi all, I think you can also do in 3DRad, but you know, what kills 3DRad in the absence of a kind of store models like Unity3d FPS Creator, free models provided by the community. 8)

I would be interested in adding to the project..

I just got myself a computer system and highspeed internet

I know how to setup the modem and forward ports so if needed i can host the server.

i also plan to add another computer system which would be my main computer, with this current system becoming the server box for any projects.

Seeing now that i'm considered disabled ( a foot issue (multiple broken bones) a condition brought on by diabetes, iv'e been diabetic for 11 years now) i wont likely be returning to work anytime soon and will be home and available to deal with any issues that pop-up.

Right now i'm still setting up up my new win7 box and helping my brother get his old laptop back up to speed, the dumb asshole uninstalls things by deleting files and directories then doesn't understand why programs don't work anymore...

Plus i need to get my 3dsmax installed and all the files copied to the new install..

Sounds like a lot of screwing around but i have everything up and ready to go quick enough.. and seeing this project hasn't even started yet.. no problems.

I also have a dropbox account that can host files if needed.

I'm not the best modeler in the world but could add something maybe, and i can help for sure help with the networking and testing multi-player options on the scripting side and testing

I would not have any objections to hosting the project during testing and / or final distribution .

Wow! That's amazing! I'm sorry I haven't been on: I've been working to get us a featured driver. Reid Wilson, driver of the #66 in the Cars Pro Cup Series, has agreed to be our cover driver!

What I would like to do now is see who can do what.
I need a couple of people to make cars. One for stock cars and one for open wheelers. I also need 1 or 2 people to make tracks.

Right now I'm working on finding people to make models. Later I will fin people to help script.

If you want to help with models, scripts, or anything, email me: [email protected].  Even if we don't need you right away, I would love to hear from you! Thanks everyone!

Also, I want to add some info about the game.

There will be a stock car series and an open wheel series. When you start the game you choose which one to use first. You have a career in each series and work your way through the ranks. There will also be a single player mode to race as any driver from the series. Maybe at some point in the future we could add multiplayer.

I'm thinking of getting us a forum where we can work on this since all of my posts on this forum have to be approved.

I'd be willing to help in anything that you need.

Yeah, i was going for telus internet and it's comparable package price wise has the same download as i have now, but has a 5.*MB/s upload ( twice the upload speed i have now) but due to a billing issue last year that i don't want to clear up with the collection agency :P ( i don't owe any money to telus, but i do owe maybe $35 to the collection company for their service which i didn't use, and refuse to pay for, so they wont release my account, so telus has my account still flagged and wont give me service till i clear up the collection agency bill .... their loss.. ).

I could tell you about 2 different collection companies in the past that both had an unpaid accounts listed under my name. long story short, i was able to remove both mistakes they had listed on my name and go on to get the $25K loan.... i totally surprised my loans manager that day :).

For any of you that have never been involved with a collection company.... always validate any claims they have against you and if possible always avoid getting into that situation cause these asshole collection companies will lie cheat & steal and generally F***k up your life if you let them.

I'll be happy to help.  I have lots of great car models and some great scripts for pausing and saving the game.
The hard part will be getting good text prints and sprites for the game.
There's no need to worry about text prints. you can make them easily with the help of rad font maker(thanks to jestermon) here's a link-
http://www.3drad.com/forum/index.php?topic=4442.0
and if you need ttf fonts there are hundreds of websites for that for ex-
http://1001fonts.com/
and if you need models like street lights, traffic signals, ramps, wallpapers etc maybe i help.

i'm not objecting to a new forum, but this is where we 3draders hang out and the official 3drad support forum.

moving us to a new location doesn't make sense, and if it's solely because of your posting status.. that will be cleared up when you hit 50 or what ever posts... PS we all had to go through this to begin...

Alright, I've got us a forum for easy communication. Register here and let's start brainstorming!

Yeah, the problem is 2 things.

1) It takes a day or two for you to see my posts, including this one.

2) I need to be able to have easy communication with the people working on the project.

Come on.. be creative.. go over to an unused area of the forum, make a new message thread.. and post 35 messages in it, wait 2 days and problem solved.

The moderators don't even hang out here anymore.. Fernando, who can say if he does...
