Author Topic: Highway Construction Kit - Questions  (Read 94 times)

« on: May 31, 2014, 04:14:55 AM »
Are any of you guys having collision problems with any of the highway construction kit pieces? I've had the car sink through the bottom of hw045225.

The reason I wanted to ask this is because I might have found a permanent solution to this annoying problem (I hope).

Found another highway piece with broken collisions - the support pylon (hwSupport) has an invisible wall a long way off from the mesh.

Well,I used to have this problem a long time ago until i found a solution.Just save the project and when you reopen the project, there will be no invisible walls. ;D
I don't know why this happens but it works.

I had this problem, so I don't use highway construction kits ever!
If we don't give up we can achieve the unthinkable!

Here is the combined meshes in OBJ format and textures included. To fix the glitches, import these as rigidbodies and skinmeshes (uses more objects but it does work a lot better than the highway object, and supports lights!).

If you don't know how to import these to RAD, export these from fragmotion as 'DirectX Files' and in RadImp, import them without the shadow map, since you can easily get them from the highway object.

Or, if you want to screw around with them in SketchUp, download an OBJ importer and import them in "meters".
