Author Topic: Ball strange happening  (Read 117 times)

« on: May 05, 2014, 05:23:00 AM »
This is something I can't figure out. I put a ball in the game. I is "sun" skin. I double click the Ball in the menu and select change. Then select "Earth". The ball disappears and can't be moved. Then it reappears, but at a different location. That happens with any of the provided "Skins". This seems to me to be very strange. Can someone tell me how to change the "Skin" of the ball? If I add a slinmesh to the ball, the only choices are netball, and those change the color of the ball, but then have there own issues. Thanks (stumped)

i suspect 2 things are happening here.

the first issue is with 3drad, when you change the aspect of the object it will be loaded but becomes invisible in the project.

Just click the objects name in the list on the left again and the new object will be visible again.

the second issue i think you're missing how 3drad works..

when you add an object.. say the default rock, it will be loaded in project to the current cursors location.. which can be below the default terrain if you have that loaded.

ie 0,0,0 in respect to the default terrains location is below the surface and may seem to be hidden.. just use the onscreen arrows to move the object up and above the land surface.

any other issue sounds like a defective install of 3drad..

If you still have issue reinstall 3drad over top of your current install, this should fix any problems if the install is corrupt. ( all your custom project files will not be damaged or replaced, only the included default 3drad parts will be overwritten) and 3drad should work properly for you.
