Author Topic: How does the Network Work?  (Read 155 times)

« on: March 24, 2014, 10:26:57 AM »
Hey guys i was just looking for help on how to connect to players with each other.  Like when you have the script that pulls up the select game console where you type in an ip address.  Do you have to type in your friend's computer's ip address and he has to type in yours?  How does it work?  Is there a special ip address you type in to join a game?  Ive been trying to make a multiplayer fps and I cant get it to work.  Thanks everyone.

take a look at the scripts for the NetBallArenaClient and NetBallArenaServer demos that come with RAD...

one player has to host a game... the other connect to his ip...

As mike says.. you have to look at the netball project.. it's a starting point to learn how 3drad basic multi-player works with 3drad & client server.
