Be Humbled, or be Motivated...

from a discussion in the OFF TOPIC sub forum http://www.3drad.com/forum/index.php?topic=10715.0 this is gonna be about graphics only... seeing how close you can come in 3DRAD to the graphics you see in games made with engines like CryTek, iDTech, UDK, etc...

indoor scenes are easier... so lets start with one of those...

a simple hallway scene...

lets see how close you can come to this scene from a Crytek wip...

don't worry how bad, or how good you think your efforts are... just be open to suggestion and critique in an effort to help improve your scene...

it's the approach that we wanna look at...

Nice idea.

Unfortunately, I'm too 'busy' with my Oddity project...

I'm curious what's going to happen here.

i'm pretty busy myself... i've got 2 legal submissions to complete...
not to mention my continuing work on the community project...

but this shouldn't take more than a half an hour out of my precious time to complete...and i think that it may benefit some of the members here, myself included...

your experience with Oddity could've been a plus here as well...

but hey, lets see if anyone's actually interested...

I'm intrigued and would like to know how my finished product would differ in Rad and Unity, is this a single corridor or would it need doors, other rooms etc
I'm in - if no-one minds my temporary return

hey there Cyper... hows the Unity world treatin' ya  :D

just a simple hall... as close to the image as possible...

and it'd definitely be of interest to compare the differences between
3DRAD and Unity scenes...

thx...

Unity's good and I'm getting to grips with it now, but still have love for the Rad and always up for a challenge ;)
Should have something up by tomorrow evening (real life permitting)

Didn't have as much time to spend on this as I would have liked but...
Rad and Unity versions...clearly I haven't spent much time on Unity devoted to graphics yet  :-\

we'll give a few more hours to whoever wants to add theirs before we discuss the plusses and minuses of each, and where we came close to what we were aiming at... and why...
