another in my series of Easy To Use Tools, UVMapper Classic version is free, and more than sufficient for a lot of what a 3d modeler needs to do...

this neat lil find may fill your uvmapping needs quite well...

Awesome! Thanks for posting this. I haven't tried it just yet, but it looks a lot better than the sketchup plugin I'm using at the moment.
