ethical??  what the hell are you babbling about now...

i just asked you a simple goddamn question...
because i saw the same skybox graphic in another game engine years ago i asked if this was indeed being done in 3drad...

nobody's accused you of stealing anything...

if anything, i'd be accusing you of using another game engine...

Sorry for assuming but you have to realize that you came to a 3D RAD forum, opened a 3D RAD topic that I posed on said 3D RAD forum and asked me if it was made in 3D RAD?  wtf am I supposed to think?

And using borrowed graphics is just my way of setting placeholders, its part of my design process, so I imagined that because you had seen it somewhere else, you'd tell me not to use it, which I wasn't going to anyway.

I post on 3D Rad that means the game is made with 3D Rad.  You'd have to be some kind of special to post your game on a forum that doesn't have anything to do with the engine you're using.

[rant]What kills me about this community is how nobody really sees how powerful 3D Rad really is.  You can make ANYTHING and all I see are racing sims that never get finished or look good but only have a few levels.  I would love to see a full adventure game or RPG made with this thing, even if the graphics aren't XBox standard quality (there's no such thing but w/e)
[/rant]

Again, sorry, but wtf?

you can think wtf you wanna think...

the fact that you post on the 3DRAD forum don't mean shit...  that's why i asked the question...

you got a problem with that, then forget i asked... ignore it... nobody made you respond...  throwing a hissy fit over nuthin 'cause you were asked a simple question...

wtf is your problem now...

Then we will just have to agree to disagree because for ME, posting on this forum means I'm posting about 3D Rad.  Period.

you seem to be getting pretty defensive over such a small thing...

i know for a fact that

1- YOU DIDN'T MAKE THE GRAPHICS IN THE SKYBOX in your piccies... you copied it from someplace, but you didn't make it...  no biggeee...

and

2 - the FIRST APPEARANCE OF THAT SKYBOX WAS IN 3D GAMESTUDIO (Acknex)...
that's why i asked about the skybox... if it was from another game maker or game engine...

but seeing how upset you got over some "ethical show shit"... it really makes ya start to wonder...
me thinks he objects too just a bit too much...

i think you're full of it...  but hey, i've been wrong before...  wip up a quick compiled demo and post it...  just a minimal thing with one of those scenes... nothing has to work...

The reason I got defensive is because you said:

"looks nice... is this a 3DRAD project?"

I said: "This is 100% 3D rad"

You then said: "100%...
the reason i asked was the skybox...
looks like one i from A3 (Acknex)..."

All those little ... made me think you were calling me a liar.  You didn't believe me.  And when I'm telling the truth I get pissed when someone doesn't believe me.

HOWEVER, I can see where the error was.  When I said it was 100% 3d rad I was saying that it was made using only the 3d rad engine, while you took 100% as, even the graphics used were 3d rad only.

Sorry for the confusion, I'm not here to start trouble, it was just a misunderstanding.

I do have a demo of this and if you want the current build I'll send it to you.

that'd be nice...

...I see what you did there xD

Here's the tech demo for the level in the images.  I realize there's a lot of stuff missing and you can fall off into nothingness.

:: Controls ::

Left and Right to turn the sled
Up arrow to boost

Try to get all 25 rings!

Figure I would post this update as the Sleditor is actuall working as planed!  Well, for the most part.  I'd like to be able to click and drag in the preview window of the sled but I can't figure out how to do it.  Its probably the same issue I'm having with the camera look function I can't seem to write.  Ah well, here's your screenshot.

Thanks Cypermethrin,

I'm not expecting to get rich with 3D Rad, but my project(s) scope is always big.  I don't make casual games or games you can beat in 5 minutes withouth even remembering what it was called.  I go for the gusto, and now that I have finally found a program that can actually materialize what haunts my mind 24/7, I might just be able to get someone's attention.

Question.  Is there a limit on how many objects you can attach to a single script, and as a parallel, a limit to how many items you can put in the object list in the editor?  Gee I hope not...

Yes there is a limit, I found this out the hard way with my Bruce Leroy project for the Rotary 70's game making challenge, an interesting thread if you've never read it, the most number of completish projects on rad for some time in one handy place (shameless Rotary Gaming plug  ;D)
http://www.3drad.com/forum/index.php?topic=9562.0

The limit is around 90 objects linked to one script (can't remember the exact number), not sure there's a limit for total objects, haven't hit that yet

Some people reckon the limit is around 300 total objects before Rad starts lagging horribly.
