Author Topic: What is the Proper Object Scale when exporting from Sketchup?  (Read 482 times)

« on: March 22, 2013, 11:10:50 AM »
Hey guys, and girls.

I was just wondering if anybody knew the right template or scale to use when designing models for use in 3drad, with Sketch-Up
because since version 8, I can't get the right scale for my models, and I end up re-scaling and re-scaling to fit the right size in 3drad.

In other news: I Successfully wrote my first script! and now I feel like so many doors have opened on me :D

Thanks

From my experience: 1 m in Sketchup is 1 m in 3D Rad. I have the default settings with the metric template.

In other news: I Successfully wrote my first script! and now I feel like so many doors have opened on me :D

Congrats! What does it do?  ;D

Ah right, I'll Stick with meters then.

My Script: It manages the handling and visual effects of a car,

it takes the speed and increases the camera shake and FOV accordingly,
it reduces lateral grip of the car after a certain speed, to make it nicer when turning
it adds tire smoke when the car steering is turned beyond 15 degrees and the car is traveling faster than 26 kmph.

Nothing much Compared to other scripts I've seen around. :D
